Look who I found!

So my dear friend Amira showed up
at Omega, not knowing that I was here
Me not knowing she was arriving
We found each other at very transitional places
and made a great week together connecting remembering renewing
She was here to take "Building a Vocal Community"
with Ysaye M. Barnwell who has been in "Sweet Honey in the Rock" and teaching at Omega for around 20 years. Her group performed last night and they were absolutely amazing, brought back my Sister Alice energy which I missed terribly! It was great to have an West Coast sista who up, remind me of where I come from, and have some sweet moments together here! I'll miss you Amira! I kno you will go back West and rock that !
