Brooklyn!!!

Love love love Brooklyn. Here is Shelly, Jerry and I goofing around the park that they lit this year for the first time. Spent a couple days there rolling around Park Slope with Jerry, beautiful neighborhoods, small ma and pa shops, gorgeous brownstones with stoops to sit and shoot the shit on. Helped Jerry get ready for his trip to India . He will be there for the next two months and I know it will be an amazing time!

Ho Broken....

Hoboken
Also known as Ho Broken, I just named it that after my Saturday night out on the town...
My sister and her lovely friends decided to go out for some fun to celebrate her and her recent birthday. They are super fun and rowdy...
Ho Broken on the other hand lives up to it's Jersey cliche.
All I have to say:
Waxed Eyebrows
Tight sweaters

And that's on the men! Seriously, sweaters so tight you could see their perfectly sculpted man boobs~ and not in a good way. And the girls, oh shit, the girls. The "clackers" is what I am calling them because of the way their shoes sound on the pavement. Clack clack clack.

And they are so mean! So rude! Couldn't believe it... I was astonished. Worse than anything we could have encountered in the Marina. Lets just say that three whiskey's later XT had to slap down some lessons in manners, all my Jersey was coming out!

But it was fun to get dressed up and go out, and the views were amazing! That made up for the people I guess. Next time I do not stop in Jersey, I go straight into the city and do not hesistate to be curious about Ho Broken, it's like passing a car crash, or going to a zoo, or a carnival. Actually, on second thought, I enjoy the Carnie's more...

Givin some thanks...

Went to my father and Step Mom's house for Thanksgiving~ they put on a beautiful spread. Their home is so relaxing and cozy, my sister and I made a pact to stay in our pajamas for two days.... didn't work out so well but we did relax a lot. Thanks giving is one of my favorite holidays, food, family, being thankful...

This is my Mom and my Dad. They have been divorced for over twenty years and we are now able to all be together for the holidays and other events. It's amazing to watch, my mom and step mom Marilyn talking for over ten hours in the kitchen, my mom and dad taking in food from the car. They have worked hard to be at this point where a divorced family can co-parent and be a very functional, disfunctional family. We are blessed!

Happy Birthday Sue!

Flew home from San Francisco to be with my gorgeous sister on her birthday. Went to this incredible sushi restaurant called Flirt where the sushi even rivaled some of SF's best~ hard to believe. The owner spent some time with us and gave us his bizness cards, what else, but on a condom. They are taking the Flirt branding to a new level I guess. So this is Sue and my brother and his girlfriend Noelle who is a incredible.

Oh yea, and for those of you who thought I was blowing smoke up your ass by telling you that my life is truly "Six Feet Under" and that my Grandfather owned a funerhome and that my brother carries on the tradition, here is the proof~How about those rides!

Korey Korey Korey

So this is one of the people who has known me through most of my cycles. Korey and I met my freshman year of college and have been thick as thieves since. We lived together off and on for over ten years, my platonic husband, and actually is one of the reasons I lived In San Francisco. We escaped Boston together twelve years ago and camped across the country with fifty dollars and a dream! Had some drinks with him and it was amazing to catch up ~ I just know he is someone I will know forever, and I cherish his friendship!

Lovin in Glen Park

Had the mst amazing week staying with Dan and Sarah, who are the new~ish owners of a gorgeous home in Glen Park. Check out the views from the Guest Room where I stayed, felt like a real vacation I tell ya. These two are so amazing, a super tight couple who have tons of laughs together. Helped them break in their house with a delicious dinner and the best group of peeps, we laughed so hard, I wish I had taped us! Had the pleasure of getting the inside scoop about their upcoming wedding, so so happy for them. Sarah is just an amazing woman, and Dan is the hero she has been holding out for! Men Are The New Women....

"Men Are The New Women"
Saw that on a T-shirt as I was walking through the Mission with my lovely Bri-meeza (Brian and Tameeza, upper left). I have to say sometimes I can see this clearly, especially in Brian, who just rocks my world. There is nothing he can't do, including starting up a new venture called Thread Lounge. He and my new favorite person Colleen are touring all over the Universe with beautiful threads at whole sale prices. And their tastes are exquisite! They had one of their sample sales while I was in town~iIt was so fun rummaging around with all of my friends, drinking champagne and trying on gorgeous dresses....

Oh and then there are Elaines boots which were all the rage on Union street...

Cause Women are still the new Women....

Where Every Body Knows Your Name....

Our version of Cheers, Bissap Baobob, a Senagalese family run restaurant that where we have celebrated everything~ birthdays, World Cup Soccer at four in the morning, weddings, break ups, going aways, coming homes, going aways again...just give me my Fleur (Whiskey Ginger and Tamarind) and all will be allright...

So how much do I love my people? Everyone came out to have some drinks and great food, catch up and give me some love! I feel so loved up! At one point, Miss Jessica looked over at me, gestured to the table, and exclaimed, " See? How can you leave this????" I know I know, but see, I am really never "leaving"....see you all in January, big love!
